This project was made as a Christmas gift for a friend in December 2019. It is a replica of the Supreme brick, an item that sells for over $200 USD. Since we work in fabrication, I decided to recreate the piece as a personal project.
The build began with a 3D model sourced from Thingiverse, which was printed on our Prusa MK3 3D printer. The print was sanded smooth and molded in silicone. The final cast was produced using Ultra Cal 30, a gypsum cement material that can be tinted using red oxide powdered pigment from Sculpture Supply Canada.
The casts were left unsanded, as the surface texture closely matches the original product.
